Tonight’s Harvest Beer Dinner
We just finished hosting the first of two nights of our autumn Harvest Beer Dinner. It was my favorite one yet. The second course featured La Chouff Golden Ale paired with lamb carbonnade and buttery tarragon spaetzle. Just the smell of it was the best thing in the world! My hat is off to the chefs, Leighanne and John and their helper today, Katie. Wow. Thank you for a wonderful evening!

Simonne,
I love this Hamburger Square blog you began. I’ve told a bunch of people about it. Just wanted to tell you what a great time we all had Dec.30th @ M’Couls. All of us had plans for New Years, so we decided to rendezvous Sunday evening at about 7:00pm. Liz served all 9 of us & did a wonderful job I may add. I hope busness keeps coming to Hamburger Square and Elm Street the way it has the past 2 years. I see “Kennedy’s” closed in front.
Any new businesses that you’re aware of scheduled to open this year downtown?
See you at the pub soon. (I already have the week of March 17th posted for a vacation week! It’ll be here before you know it.)
Keep in touch………………………..

a native of greensboro i grew up familiarwith hamburger square. I have a poem i’d like to share with you. it is in part:
at the california sandwich shop i swear and hope to die, there was nothing finer than to sit in that diner and watch pretty girls go by.
and nextdoor at the bluebird pool room, beating ‘em foul or fair, that’s fast eddie. he was always ready on hamburger square.
