The extra message at the end of the message
Jump to Comments
Dear Verizon,
I have a real pet peeve.
I hate when you call someone’s phone and you get their five second personal message and then you have to waste anther 15 seconds listening to that automated woman tell you how to leave a voicemail.
Seriously? Do we really need instructions? It is literally 3 times longer that most people’s personal message. Does anybody really need to be told what to do after the beep? And one of the options is to “page this person”. Does ANYBODY use that function anymore?
I want my 15 seconds back, Verizon. Get rid of this waste of time… I spend enough time on the phone.

Dear Alltel voicemail lady,
When I go to check my voicemail, I usually like to get in and get out. Instead, you keep me on the phone for what feels like instantaneous eternity, telling: You have 2 new messages. These two new messages have not been heard. To hear these two unheard messages, put your right hand in and your right hand out, put your right hand in and then you shake it all about. When you hear unheard messages, they will no long be unheard. They will be heard messages. Please play unheard messages now.
Unbelieveable.

Simonne - Hi. Ethan here. Was doing some random searches and came across this. It’s been a long time….
I live in the SF Bay Area with my wife Kim and 2 sons. I’m a real estate attorney. It looks like you are back in Greensboro. Any plans for a 20th reunion next year? Jeremy Baggish is in Durham with his wife and son.
I would love to reconnect.
work email is ekf@msrlegal.com, home is friedfam@astound.net
Take care,
Ethan
