So I sent my new employee, Devin, who I wrote about earlier on a very important errand. I told him to send this letter certified mail and that it had to go out on Thursday (yesterday). Luckily I was sitting by the door as he was leaving. He waved the envelope at with me, still with the post-it on it that said “Mail Thursday”, and said, “I’m going to mail this.”
To which I replied, “The envelope is empty. And UNSEALED. Where’s the letter?”
He kind of grinned and said, “You said to mail this envelope. Was there supposed to be something in it?”
How about the letter that was under the envelope??
Devin has a masters degree. For real.

Hey,
I know this is off topic, but I was wondering if you could help me out (in the interest of promoting downtown)? Will the Get Down! Town festival take place this year? I was at the one two years ago with The Avetts and The Fems, but I can’t find anything about it on line this year. If you want you can just leave a comment here and I’ll check back. (Just a date and web site would be great.)

P.S. hope that Devin guy works out. Pretty soon you’ll have him doing all kinds of things… sortin’ paperclips and sharpenin’ pencils and such. Don’t give up on him :)
