So recently one of my bartenders came to me and said “There’s a rumor going around that we haven’t cleaned our draught lines since we opened.”
“Who’s saying that?” I asked.
“That’s the word on the street.”
I love that, “the word on the street”, as if spoken from God. It’s the word on the street, so it must be true!
“That’s ridiculous, they get cleaned all the time. Besides, we’ve been opened for almost 7 years. People believe we haven’t cleaned our beer lines in SEVEN YEARS???”
“Yeah, the first guy who told me that said he knew it was true because he went to high school with you.”
Okay, so some guy is an authority on my beer lines because 20 years ago we went to high school together?
Come on, people.
